The Township is responsible for repair, maintenance and snow removal for 47 miles of roads. Each year the Township surveys the road conditions and develops a plan for repaving and curb replacement. Questions can be directed to the Township Assistant Public Works Director at 215-646-5302.
In addition to Township roads, approximately 4.8 miles of county and 19.80 miles of state roads run through Lower Gwynedd. Questions regarding maintenance and/or snow plowing should be directed to either the county or state as appropriate.
A Highway Occupancy/Road Opening/Driveway Permit is required for any work performed in/on a Township roadway and for the installation/modification of a driveway. The permit applications will be reviewed and approved by the Public Works Director. Click the link below for an application and applicable fees. All HOP permits have a flat fee of $250.00 plus the calculated fee attached to the application.
