Elected Auditors

Elected Auditors

Elected auditors serve a six year term and assist the Township by reviewing the annual audited financial statements. They provide direction and make recommendations to ensure that best management practices are implemented and followed. Under the Pennsylvania 2nd Class Township Code, the Board of Supervisors may pass a resolution appointing a certified or competent public accountant or firm to perform the annual audit and examine all of the accounts of the Township for the fiscal year. Lower Gwynedd Township uses a certified public accounting firm, BBD LLP,  to perform the financial audit and account review. The elected auditors then perform a review of that information. There are three elected auditors in Lower Gwynedd Township. The elected auditors reorganize every January.
