Development in the Township is always something that stirs up interests in the community. Property owners have a right to explore the opportunity of developing their parcels if they choose and they come to the Township requesting consideration of these various proposals. Township Officials are charged with navigating the legal process of subdivision/land development, zoning, rezoning, and any other required processes stipulated through local and state statutes when these proposals are submitted. Upcoming discussions are scheduled for the regular meetings of the Board of Supervisors that start at 7 pm pertaining to potential development projects within the Township. The community is encouraged to join the conversation by attending the meetings in person or virtually to stay informed. The upcoming discussions on the Board of Supervisors agenda include:
-  July 22, 2025- Zoning Hearing Board application for 1348 Sumneytown Pike - discussion about sending the Solicitor to represent the interests of the Township Board of Supervisors at the ZHB hearing when it is scheduled. This project has generated a significant amount of community interest, and the BOS would like to learn more about neighbors’ concerns.
- July 22, 2025- An introduction about a proposal and the review process for a residential development around Cedar Hill at Bethlehem Pike. A more detailed presentation by the developer and public discussion with the Board of Supervisors will be scheduled in the fall.
- August 26, 2025- A presentation of a proposed zoning amendment and development plan providing for a 43-unit apartment building and a self-storage facility at Ambler Yards.
