Buckle Up PA
- Pennsylvania law requires every child under the age of 4 to be properly restrained in an approved and appropriate child passenger restraint system whenever riding in a vehicle. It is also recommended that children ages 12 and under should ride in the back seat of the vehicle - especially when a passenger-side air bag is present. Children in rear-facing child safety must never be placed in front of an airbag.
- Drivers and front-seat passengers must be bucked up when riding in a passenger car, Class 1 or 2 truck, or motor home.
- Proper seatbelt usage is important. The lap belt should be worn low and snug on the hips. The shoulder portion should come over the collarbone and cross over the center of the shoulder and breastbone.
