Storm Drain Marking

Protect Water Quality by Marking a Storm Drain

Volunteers Needed!

How YOU can help protect water quality in the Wissahickon Creek Watershed!

Please join the Lower Gwynedd Township Environmental Advisory Council on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 9:00am – 11:30am to conduct a storm drain marking event.

Register by clicking on this link.

The Brights Lane and Meadowcreek residential developments will be the focus of this event.  Four teams of 3-4 people will be provided with materials to conduct the storm drain marker event.  Fifty-four (54) storm drains have been selected for marking.  Each team will be assigned a specific number of storm drains to mark (up to 13) and will be provided with a map of their site.

Teams of volunteers are to meet at the Wissahickon High School Gold Gate parking lot entrance off of Dager Road (back lot adjacent to the baseball field).

Once the first 12-16 volunteers have registered for the storm drain marking, the registration will be closed.  Additional family members, neighbors and friends can still join teams to share in the fun and educational value of the event.

Walking will be involved so volunteers should wear sturdy shoes and bring a filled reusable water bottle.

Thank you!
