In medicine, “lose weight” has long been a commonly heard phrase. That is beginning to shift, and body composition is becoming more important than ever. This event provides the Lower Gwynedd community with the opportunity not only to learn about the importance of body composition but also to find out their individual composition and how it contributes to overall health, fitness, and aging.
The InBody scan is a noninvasive body composition analysis that goes beyond weight or body mass index. It provides measurements such as muscle mass, body fat percentage, and water distribution, offering a more detailed picture of how the body is structured. The scan takes less than a minute to complete and does not involve needles or radiation. Results are available immediately and can be used to better understand changes in fitness, nutrition, and overall health over time.
Dr. Annahieta Kalantari is a double board-certified physician and the founder of The Whole Human Health & Wellbeing, a medical practice focused on longevity, prevention, and personalized, evidence-based care located in Ambler, PA.
