A Snow Emergency is in effect during this weekend’s storm. Our Public Works crew has a long couple of days ahead of them. Please help them clear your roads by:
- Not parking any vehicles on Township roads if you have access to a garage, driveway or other off-street parking. Please make sure all vehicles are parked well within the driveway so that they DO NOT protrude into the roadway.
- If you do not have access to an off-street parking location, please park on the side of the street with odd-numbered residences. This leaves more room for plows to clear snow.
- Do not throw, shovel, or plow snow from your property onto your road. That makes your road unsafe, especially later in the storm after Public Works has completed passes through your neighborhood.
- Make sure no trash or recycling cans are near the end of the road where they could be in the way of a plow. Monday’s trash and recycling collection has been cancelled.
While snow and ice are major factors of this storm, the freezing temperatures can also have a major effect. Please take proactive measures to maintain heat in your homes and work spaces.
