COVID Vaccine Eligibility Expands
Montgomery County has announced that anyone over the age of 16 is now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine.

Fireworks Display This Saturday
Montgomery County Community College will hold a firework display between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. this Saturday, April 17, 2021. Please note the time if fireworks alarm anyone in your home or your pets.

The Township will repair and repave or resurface the following roads this summer.

- John Rotelle Drive
- Lloyd Road
- Warren Road
- Wyndon Road
- Gypsy Hill Rd (Plymouth Rd to cul-de-sac)
- Gypsy Hill Circle
- Latchstring Lane
- Surrey Drive

PECO performs Energy Assessment on Township Owned Property
The Township received information on our energy consumption from a recent Energy Assessment performed by PECO Energy. The Township scored very well on this assessment and will continue to strive towards improving to reduce both our costs and energy consumption.
Generous Donation Supports Police Drone Program
The Police Department has created its own Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Drone Program. The program is supported by a generous donation from the Salwen Family. Two police officers have been trained on the utilization of the UAS drone and have completed their FAA Part 107 pilots’ certification. The mission of the Lower Gwynedd Police UAS Drone Program is to provide airborne support to police and emergency operations in a safe, responsible, and transparent manner, for the purpose of increasing the safety and security of citizens.
Drug Take Back Day on April 24
Unused and expired prescription drugs can be dropped off at the Lower Gwynedd Police Department as part of National Drug Take Back Day. Drugs no longer needed can be dropped off throughout the year in a collection box in the lobby of the Township Building. April 24, 2021 is this year’s official day for collecting.

Montco Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Events Announced
Montgomery County’s first Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off event is next Saturday at Boyertown High School. Nearby events will be held at Montgomery County Community College on May 8, 2021 and Temple University-Ambler on June 12, 2021.
